Tre dischi. All’incirca tre ore di musica spalmate attraverso tredici anni. Tredici, lunghi, anni e sole tre “uscite” per i Daft Punk. Quando usciva “Homework” (1996), facevo ancora in tempo a prenderlo e prestarlo a qualche compagno di classe sprovveduto. Alla pubblicazione di “Discovery” (2001) vivevo nella casa dell’infanzia ed ero totalmente sprovvisto di contratto, nonché alle prese con il miraggio dell’università. Arrivati a “Human After All” (2005), il mondo mi pareva promettere splendidi lavori a base di scrittine e biglietti per la Champions’ gratuiti. Ora, santiddio, sarà mica venuto il tempo di buttar fuori questo benedetto quarto album? Anche la media dei quattro anni e mezzo è stata rispettata. Abbiate pietà.
Invece no, manco per il cacchio. I parigini misteriosi sono alle prese con la sicuramente-interessante-ma-alla-fine-chissenefrega colonna sonora di “Tron Legacy”. Disco fermo ai box. Poi, notizia di oggi, il duo si è anche concesso il lusso di remixare/mashuppare undici pezzi per l’imminente (fine ottobre) DJ Hero di Activision. Appariranno anche in formato elettronico, il che va particolarmente di pari passo con la natura dei nostri simpatici casco-dotati, ma spacca anche abbastanza gli zebedei. Perché intanto, il quarto fantomatico ellepì, rimane in cantiere.
